Comment by David Lowell on August 8, 2012 at 9:06am It's hard for me to say when (or even if) I became a pantheist, since my views have been slowly evolving over time, and when I read about pantheism it seems like a lot fit. I guess this is similar to other people? It also seems that pantheism is pretty diverse. I'm more on the spiritual side of it (though I suppose in the end it all boils down to the same thing).
Has anyone found a good group in their area? I've looked at a few different ones here, but none have really "clicked" yet.
Comment by Sarah Chappell on August 7, 2012 at 7:03pm Welcome! And thanks for playing along! Glad you passed the quiz!;)
Comment by Diana on August 3, 2012 at 8:18am Hello! This is my first post. I am a 30-year-old married mom of one, and I just discovered pantheism this week. I had heard of the term before, but I'd mistakenly assumed it meant that everything is literally God, which didn't sound like my beliefs. But then I took the quiz on the WPM website and discovered that I am indeed a naturalistic pantheist. Before that, I had thought that I was an atheist, or maybe a secular humanist. I had always wondered if there was anything bigger and fuller than atheism or secular humanism though, and I discovered the WPM when I googled "worship of the universe" or something of that nature. Anyway, I'm glad to be here! I look forward to discovering more about pantheism and my fellow pantheists. :)
Comment by Sarah Chappell on July 7, 2012 at 9:01am The Tidewater area is Portsmouth, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.
Thanks! the last time I'd "commented" on here I was twenty-something weeks! I've found some good conversation on The Baby Center's Atheist/Agnostic Families forum. I'd like to ask a question for folks here to answer as they please, to get things going...
When did you know you were a pantheist, how old were you, and how did you describe your beliefs before that moment???
Comment by David Lowell on July 6, 2012 at 7:12pm I live in DC, if people want to meet up. I also created a Facebook group that might be good for organizing things: https://www.facebook.com/groups/321111614581196/

Comment by Sarah Chappell on July 5, 2012 at 8:02pm Hey Dina! It's been a while since I've seen any activity here! Quite unfortunate!
Good to see you here!
I live in Tidewater area of VA. I've just had my second child, Fiona. Brought her home this week!
I hope to meet at least one person from this group... Sometime!
Comment by Dina Frank-Rice on July 5, 2012 at 3:25pm Hi everyone! I live in Frederick, MD and would love to meet like-minded folks in the general area!
Comment by Cindy Licata on April 4, 2012 at 12:13pm @Barbara...I live in Chestertown in Kent County, MD. Solomon's Island is on the western shore, right? St. Mary's County? I've driven through, but not explored that part of the state.
Comment by Sarah Chappell on March 18, 2012 at 1:31pm Thanks, I will. (email ya) This is good... No one had commented on the Eastern North Carolina group since 2010! Like I said, if you guys were to want to meet, I'm a stay at home mom right now (and 26 weeks preggo) and would love to make a trip to see DC and hang out with some pantheist folk. I'll bring some grub! (was a chef for ten yrs. before the move to VA.)
